That's the way I administer herbal wormers mixed with fermented feed but it isn't a problem if I go a bit heavy with it.That's my concern too, but one of the peafowl breeders I know does his own fecals and claims it's effective in the water.
Dose in food is easy, it's weight of flock in pounds, divide by 2.2, times 20, divide by 113.6. Add this to the amount of food to be consumed in 24 hours, mix well, and it should work.
