I won't use it if it will be harmful. Is there rules with shelf life? Thanks for any help

I dont think the Valbazen would be harmful, but might not be as effective. Mine expires this September and I'm buying another bottle. Here's a link to Pfizer's website....once you go there and click it, go to the top and click "contact us" for help.

A lot of drugs are ok to use after expiration they are just not guaranteed to be as effective the further you get from the expiration date.

I would use it. The molecules do not magically explode and render it useless on that exact date. In fact, when I have been overseas in the military we would have essential drugs expire on us and we would often call the drug company so they could "authorize" the use past that date. Something you have to do when dealing with humans. They give a fairly generous amount of time before the drug actually starts to degrade. Now, I wouldn't use it more than a year (ish) past it's date because just like other folks have said, it might lose some effectiveness. You can't just give more of it because the dose could be way off. I hope that helps.
