So I just treated my adults with 1/2 cc Valbazen because I saw worms in the poop of one of them. Roundworms, I think. Anyway, I have babies out there who are a week old, and they're with mama who was also treated. Should I treat the babies? Or should I just wait until I actually see worms in their poop? I know I read that if I do need to treat the babies, it should be 1/10 cc, to be given again in 10 days.

Thanks all.

Personally, I would NOT treat the week old babies. I would wait until they were older. I would watch the poops and see if worms appear. I don't normally treat my youngsters until they are around 5 months old...

I would just watch their poops carefully. I think they are too young at this tender age to have a worm issue yet. JMHO.

Thanks, math ace. I'm feeling the same way. 2 of the chicks are off to a rocky start anyway, and are a bit fragile. One has a lame leg and the other had his back pecked open when he was 2 days old. They're doing surprisingly well though.
