This took me 50+ Hours. I’ve never managed to finish another poultry piece that I liked much after this one so this is likely my only entry.View attachment 2990060
Wow! That's impressive, I like all the depth and shades. The all white duck beak looks especially realistic!

Probably not an entry, because I already have a calendar, but here is my quilt entitled, “Hidden in Plain Sight”.
*The squares are 1 1/2 inches, finished size, cut from assorted fabrics and laid out to resemble a water color.
*The fenceposts were cut from a wood patterned fabric and hand appliqued down.
*The pheasants were also cut from a printed fabric and stuffed lightly as they were appliquéd in place.
*The barbed wire on the fence was machine done with metallic thread, and that’s NOT a process I’ll ever repeat!
*The pheasant feather is real, one I got from a local pheasant farm.
The quilt is machine quilted, a process I either detest doing because I’m so bad at it, or am so bad at it because I detest doing it.

Wow, I think your work paid off! The pheasant feather really added a nice touch, making the whole thing pop.
