I have quail actually hatching today

I had 7 so far but one is very suicidal and I think it might suceed

! I keep finding it in the oddest coldest parts of the brooder box looking very poorly

!!! They sure are cute and tiny though

. My first attempt did not work at all but this time I have been misting them and they seem to be hatching pretty good

!!! I also have some of Deb's beauteous RIRs and GLWs hatching today too

. The electrician came out and put lights in my coop and run and extra plugs as well

and yesterday my sweet hubby brought me a most extravagant Valentines Day giftie a pair of 4 week old Cream Legbars from Green Fire Farms

!!! I must go take some chic pics of the quail babies they are just sooooo precious

My husband just calls me Crazy Chicken Lady

Ahh, that's my son's name for me. Although, when his new GF comes around..............he puts it as........."Don't be the crazy chicken lady!" Do they ever get old enough that you don't embarass them anymore?

It took about six takes before we got one without him escaping the back scratcher. He takes off running. We found if he was held down too tightly, he'd just flip over onto his side.

We use him at Christmas to torture the dogs. I convinced DH to go into the garage, move his car and start pulling down Christmas decoration boxes until we found him. He's a good hubby.
