She's 16, don't worry, she shouldn't be expecting an engagement ring, so a nice piece of jewelry will be fine. Keep it simple, unless she has drooled over a pendant of a unicorn eating popsicles. You know her style, follow it, not yours.

Think of what types of jewelery she wears, so that you'll get her something she will actually wear. Does she wear perfume?
