    Happy almost Valentine's Day everyone.
I told my husband what my heart's desire was and he picks her up tomorrow.
It's a silkie!!! (not what my husband thought when I said..."Hey hun, for Valentine's day, can you pick me up this chick and bring her home." )
Her name is Sparkles and I'm so excited.
    (hubby not as much-hehe)

I'll post pics when she gets here.

I'll post a picture of her when she arrives.
I haven't met her yet, she arrives this afternoon.
The family is moving and can't take her with them.
(I feel badly for them but happy for me)
    I've always wanted a silkie.

Thank you and I'll be sure to post pics of her.
They also have a green layer.
Excuse my ignorance but what kind of a chicken would that be?

I am not all that knowledgeable on the colored egg layers, (I only keep brown egg layers) but I know the Easter Eggers will lay colored eggs. I think there is anther breed that also lays colored eggs. I am not sure. :)

    Thanks TwoCrows.
I decided to just get the silkie. (although I was very tempted to get the green layer too)
The quarantine room is all ready but no silkie yet.
    Where are they??

Should we put out a "Chicken Alert" throughout the U.S.?? [IMG]

    (sorry, I couldn't help myself)

I hope they both arrive home safely soon. [IMG]
