hello when should i stop turning the eggs and how much should i raise the humidity current is 50% - 60% now for lock??

Stop turning the eggs on day 19. Hatch date should be 22 to 23 days. When you lock down, raise your humidity to 65% to 70%. You may need to add a wet sponge or a piece of one to raise the humidity. Use a NEW kitchen sponge. Soak it down and give it a squeeze. You don't want it dripping wet, but don't wring it dry either. The humidity may spike at first, but that is normal. Should return to 65% to 70% after 30 to 60 mins. Don't worry about a lot of condensation on the inside of the lid bator either. You may need to rewet this sponge over the next few days if you notice the humidity is dropping. Don't worry about opening the lid of the bator, but just be quick about it.

Ok thanks for the advices i dont need to open the lid, i made 2 holes on the incubator and they have a tube and then i use a syringe works ver well i just need to open for egg turning.

my eggs went the bator day 10-05-2013 hours 3:00 PM. egg turnig stop day 30-05-2013 at 3:00 right?

Wow what a chat!

I am having loads of trouble with valley quail and this chat made me realise how the air cell development is! I Have checked my eggs that are half way through their incubation and the air cell seems too small. Now I have dropped the humidity and I'll monitor the air cell better.

Nesperas, today is lockdown day for you so increase the humidity and stop turning the eggs! Good luck buddy and let us know!

You should be! Well, it could take them from one to four days apparently but you'd better wait for a reply from an expert.

What I am sure of, is that during lockdown...DO NOT OPEN THE INCUBATOR! The little chicks hatch soaked wet and before taking them out of the cosy incubator you have to let them dry up and become fluffy. Also, before deciding to help the chicks out give them time to do it themselves. Only help when after a couple of hours you see no improvement and always take care not to chill any chicks that have just hatched!

What temperature and humidity did you use during incubation? Hatching valley is my current largest challenge!

during incubation i used between 50%-60% its only 5 eggs now one was cracked and they all are wobbling if u see the post above from two crows ( When you lock down, raise your humidity to 65% to 70% )
