Right now my incubators are driving me crazy with the temp flucuations in the house (no air conditioning- just fans in the windows) and I have to keep messing with the incubator controls.
The one with the automatic turner is holding steady now at 100.3 and 43 percent humidity with no water in the bator. The one in the kitchen is fluctuating between 88.6 and 101.3 and driving me nuts.

I'm on day 10 with my Dutch Bantam eggs. I candled tonight and I have 11 bouncing babies!!!

Bad thing is, that is 11 out of 34....

But they were shipped eggs so if I get 11, I'll be happy...

We have a pip here!!! I woke up to one... actually my Husband ran in to tell me LMAO! So Day 20 and 1/9 has a pip!

I am going to call them round 1,2, and 3...lol. oops- and 4.

The eggs in the incubator now can be the Grand Finale for the season.

I have to spend time willing all the show girls and silkies to be girls...and instead of being illegal chickens, they can be miniature ostrich parrots and rare poodle birds.

I'm on day 20 or 21 (some people say you do not count the day that the hen goes broody...so in that case today is day 20). I was really hoping for babies today so I could watch them hatch! So far there are no signs of anything. Should I be worried? I candled once (not well, just using a flashlight and my hand) and I saw a dark blob with a very well defined air sac. The eggs are all very heavy.

This anticipation is KILLING me! My egg is still the same as it was when we got up at 6:30am! But there is some peeping going on so I'm hoping to see something soon!

How long do I have to wait to see SOMETHING?
