Hey y’all! We have had our chickens for a little over a year now and we’ve appreciated all the help we’ve gotten from the many questions I didn’t have to ask because the answer was already on here some where. We started with 4 chicks 2 Wyandottes, speckled sussex, and a blue Plymouth tint. Unfortunately we lost 2 birds 6-7 months in and shortly after got 3 RIRs. One of our wyandottes went broody recently so I had to get her some eggs to sit on. We hatched 8 Easter eggers and kept two. We love letting the chickens free range and they are just so funny to watch. Especially now that we have a momma and her babies. When we are not tending to the chickens our favorite thing to do is water ski, I met my wife on a boat and we have both grown to love the water together. We have only been married 3.5 years but look forward to expanded our farm and family. She is pregnant with our first little girl now. We also have 2 dogs, lab and a chihuahua (lol thats another story) and two Pygmy goats that will steal your heart. She currently works at a school and I work in the plants but dream of quitting our jobs and having a working homestead one day. I stumbled across BYC when I had 1000 questions as a newbie chicken owner and I’m so glad I did! Thanks for all the help!
