vanishing hatching eggs

I bought 11 hatching eggs and today there were only 9 in the nest, can't find the others anywhere in the ducks house. What could possibly have happened? Anyone else experience this. My duck is on the nest all day except for 15 minutes twice a day, there's no possibility of other animals getting in. Weird.

Sometimes my ducks can really tuck an egg where I cannot find it. Also sometimes a softer shelled eggs break and get lost in the shavings.
