vaulted skulls in silkies!?

I have a question. Are vaulted skulls in silkie good or bad? Do I want my silkie chicks to have a vaulted skull? Are silkies without vaulted skulls good quality? Basically what I am asking is does a silkie have to have a vaulted skull to be show/good quality?

It matters how you view it. Its good in the sense they will have a good size crest, but they have more delicate heads because of it.

vaulted skulls typically have better top hats but not always. the parents of non vaulted silkies could have huge top hats leading to the chicks to develop top hats.
when they are born you can tell who has the vaulted skull and who doesn't.

Was the crest on the silkie with the non vaulted skull still big when it grew up? I hope mine all have vaulted skulls then!!!!!!!!!!

I have noticed that vault size doesnt have much to do with crest size. It just depends on the bird. Me, I prefer vaulted birds, I think the chicks look nicer.
