Chickens breaking in to my fenced garden - they say they're only going in to eat the bugs and dust bath under the tomatoes, but I know better! This year's garden isn't yet planted, but I have installed a taller fence...
I just went to lowes and bought some CHEAP deer netting. You get 100ft for about $13, and it's 7ft. tall. So I'm cutting it in half and getting 200 ft. for my money. It's flimsy, but it'll keep chickens out if you stretch it fairly tight and put a few landscape staples along the bottom to hold it down properly
ETA: lol...just saw how old this post was. oh well...it's about the right time of year for it to pop up anyhow...
This stuff is great and it comes in lots of different heights. I bought the 7.5 ft to keep deer out but also keeps the chickens out. It is nearly invisible from a distance much nicer than orange construction fencing. its easy to work with and not to expensive and much more durable than the cheap deer netting. It is great if you have the budget for it!
