Most fruits and veggies are fine.

Things to avoid are..Ice burgh lettuce, Avocados(Everyone should know that)! Other scraps...Anything with overly processed white flour, pasta, and even so called WHEAT flower, are pure evil!

My whole take on bird garbage disposals is...If it's to rotten and stinky for the human to eat, then it's to rotten and stinky for my birds to eat. In a pinch, I would eat GBS! The compost pile gets the rest. Just me, and I'm not judging anyone.

X2...definitely don't give anything that's not fresh.....i feed scraps but not compost matter.

X3---my dad is always griping at me because I toss spoiled food in the trash instead of feeding it to his dogs....I'm sorry, but if they're so hungry as to eat spoiled food, he needs to get rid of some!
I don't give anything spoiled food, that's just bad management.

There is a real difference between "SCRAPS" and "TRASH". It is beyond my ability to totally analyze the nutritional value of "Scraps" of any kind. Though, I tend to put the "TRASH" in the trash, but that's just me.

I feed my birds 30% GBS. When in season, I will feed amounts of fruits and veggies, but I get better results with straight GBS. I'm just not the mad scantest, that can feed my birds coffee grounds and meal worms, and get a good result.

I don't have the smarts for that
