Thanks to all of you who always support me through this terrible stuff. Michele, the feeds they eat still contain animal protein. I may one of the few people who still look for that when I buy feed. They've all done so well till this, even molting, but Skye is still mostly naked herself. She laid an egg today and I just wish she'd quit and grow her feathers back. Velvet's were coming back nicely as of today, darn it.
We are not going to do a necropsy on Velvet. It's obvious that it wasn't primarily a reproductive issue nor anything contagious; it was obviously a crop problem and possibly gout on top of that. OR maybe the gout caused the crop issue, who knows? I just hate to lose a beauty like Velvet before she even turned two years old.
