Vent and Crop help

My rooster who is like about to turn four, Has what i believe to Be Vent gleet and possibly something off with his crop though i cant pinpoint what.

I noticed he's catching more sun the last couple of weeks but only yesterday did i notice he's been more lethargic. Not that he's stumbling over or even laying down but he isnt making much effort to move toward me unless i have a treat for him, which i do not plan to give him until i figure out what to give him. His vent area is slightly pecked from the hens but his how down freathers are poopy. i made an effort to clean him up as much as i can without stressing him and since its not warm enough. i have been treating mites off an on but with the sudden amount of neightbors around with hens getting loose its been a bit of a losing battle. Regardless i notice when he makes the effort to try and poop he does a little whistle. he still acts as normal as he could be, still trying to get away from me and will gladly eat from my hand if i got food.

Vent gleet usually stinks worse than the usual poop. It's a little unusual for a four-year-old rooster to get that, but not unheard of. I'd give them all probiotics every other day for week or two. That might also help his crop and poopy butt. They make powders for their water, granules for their feed, or Greek yogurt is high as well. If you go the yogurt route, they could each have a tablespoon or so of that per day.

The next time you have ahold of him, you can cut the feathers around his vent so he stops pooping on himself. We use a kitchen scissors.

Permethrin/garden powder works well to treat mites on chickens and/or in the coop.
