Vent gleet..bad!

He said to put it in a gallon of water daily. And refresh it every day. I told him I think its vent gleet from bacteria or something but that's all he gave me. He said to treat her for worms/parasites too. She's eating and drinking well but yes she still makes a sound like air coming out of a balloon when she poops.

It won't hurt to treat for worms. What are you going to use?

I would make sure her crop is emptying. Hold off on the Nystatin if you've been giving it for a while. You may need to restart it after you finish the antibiotic.

Yeah, she's eating normal and pooping/peeing. Yes a powder for in water. Seems wasteful to only dose it by the gallon but I'll do it. Okay I'll stop the nystatin. That's what fixed it last time but I should have kept up on it for maybe a few days longer.

You can probably make a 1/4 or 1/2 gallon at a time.

What did your vet recommend?

Safeguard or Valabazen is what most people use.
