My girl has vent gleet. I've tried the yogurt and Monistat veast infection cream but she is not responding well.

I read through a lot of previous posts and the drug Nystatin oral was mentioned. When I searched for it on line the cheapest was $39.00 and I need to ship it overnight because it has to be refrigerated.

Does anyone have another source for this medication that might be a little cheaper.

Thanks!

Nystatin is what they use for little girls that get external yeast infections. My preschooler got one when she was an infant and the Nystatin came in a tube and wasn't refrigerator. I know, it was in a tube that I kept in her top drawer. Perhaps a pharmacist or local vet can help you out. But I know there is a non-refrigerated form.

OOOPPPSSS sorry.....I didn't make myself clear in my original post. I want to find the oral Nystatin. I want to treat her from her mouth to her tush. The fungus can grow in the crop and gizzard so I want to treat everything.

Gentian Violet is my next step. If It is still being made. Years ago it was used to treat babies with thrush. Everything turns blue.....I mean everything.

Thanks for the input.

Sorry if this sounds like an odd question. But did you feed her the yogurt? 'Cuz I know of some ladies who use yogurt topically for yeast infections. It's worth a shot

Thanks for reading my post. I have given her (all the chickens) yogurt and tried the Monistat cream for yeast infections in women but she is not responding. My vet has really reasonable office visit rates so I'll try to make her an appointment tomorrow. From what I've read vent gleet is very contagious. I don't want everyone to get sick.
