****UPDATE******
Ok, so after a week of bathing her she still is having that white, noxious discharge out of her vent. I have been even more strict than normal with coop maintenance, changing water twice a day and keeping food as clean as possible (they are very confused as to why they are getting veggie scraps served on a plate now). I also adjusted their feed to the wet mash (minus the vitamins) and all of them very much enjoyed it. Still no change in her other than she seems to have perked up a little bit. Problem is that I have noticed one of my other hens with what looks like it might be earlier signs of the same thing. I am wondering if she has been symptomatic for longer at skin level and missed it due to muddy conditions. The picture below is right after she came out of the first tub of soapy water so I could see better to clean the rest of the droppings clumped in her feathers without damaging them. However, she is not showing any signs of discharge out of her vent like the other hen. I also have noticed a very large drop in egg production. As in down to zero for 1-2 days at a time. I know that their age and the weather play to reduce their laying but we have never gone more than 2 days with no sign of eggs. Not even broken shells or wet spots that would point to soft shells or egg eating.
At this point I am debating starting up medication as well as dusting down the coop with some DE underneath the new bedding just in case. The biggest question is which route to go. I am thinking of using Bluekote (or specifically Farnam Wound-Kote which is the only thing I can find close to pickup today) a try. Would using Blukote have any negative side effects?
