Vent gleet or something else ❓❓

I noticed my polish had some heavy looking butt feathers this past week. She has this every now and then, so I wasn't too scared to take care of it like I usually do, and when I got around to checking her out today I noticed she had yellowish crust around her vent and a spot just to the left of her vent as well. I did the usual epsom salt soak to loosen things and trimmed the feathers to help, but this time like I mentioned seemed different due to the yellow like crust and more bareness to her backside area. She seems to be eating, drinking, and behaving normal, but she has not laid any eggs for quite some time.

I should mention after I did the epsom salt soak she pooped and it was normal however I noticed a couple times today before the soak and after the soak it was more watery, foamy white poop. She is almost 4 years old so...she may be laying less often anyway because it's been quite some time since I've gotten a white egg from her.

I'm guessing you're right, but the tell-tale sign to ensure it's vent gleet is it stinks.

If she stinks, then I'd put her on probiotic water for a week or two and get some generic Monistat to put on her vent after you clean her up. She can have some of that orally as well. Squeeze about 1/2" inch of it. You may want to mix that with a small amt of scrambled eggs or mash to get her to eat it all unless you want to syringe it to her. Do both the vent and orally twice a day for a few days and she should be good as new!
