VENT Tired of drop offs! (Pictures of the cats added)

Our local shelter had a special this month for adult cats, because people don't realize what a treasure a full grown cat can be, and you could adopt one for about half the regular price. . .someone donated land and they are working on earning the money through donations and grants to build a really nice shelter. Hope someone takes all the kitties. . .

I have also done my duty--with the throw aways and drop offs. Right now we have 9dogs 6 of which were dropped off at our farm, three we got from rescues. We have had as many at 14 dogs, 12 cats at one time. Over the last 36yrs. I have paid 10,000's of $$. In vet bills to get shots, surgery (emergency as well as spay and neuter), get meds for these animals, I have given away so many animals to my friends, families and neighbors--I know the cringe when they see me coming. Our vet said =He should name his new clinic after me! He gives me breaks, the Animal Advocates in our county now work with me in finding homes..... But I just get so mad when I hear of yet another--litter of unplanned puppies, kittens, hamsters etc... Because I know that there will be less room at the shelters, less homes for these babies and they may end up on a road--waiting for their humans to return for them..Alone, cold, hungry and sad..

I thank all of you who take in these babies, and care for them.....Bless you all...Dixie

She is very sweet. I love her. I've never been one for cats, but am one for underdogs... undercats (?) She is the only one that gets on bed, IDK why. The other two sleep on my tv stand. I think because the heater is under it. I'm sure it feels good.

Check your loan contract, it should say on that how long you have and how many miles before it can't be returned.

My cat mysteriously appeared as a stray and had FOUR kittens in one of our window wells. All made it and were happily adopted.

I wish people would get their cats fixed... there are enough cats in this world already. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE kittens, but honestly... do we really need more?
