well, had to leave school yesterday b/c it was hard to breathe and my head and throught hurt. we go to the hospital, i get a test thing done and some chest x-rays. then i start coughing and it gets so hard to breathe i can barely talk and have to have a breathing treatment. well, it was only strep but combined with the asthma that suddenly decided to come back after leaving me alone for 8 months. so now im on so many medications i cant count and the pain of my latest diy piercing that got infected...its so frustrating. SO, im going to miss a week of school and im already failing everything in school and im now going to be behind what im already behind in. had to share. thanks for listening to me vent about this. just had to say this somewhere

Hope you can get better. Take that whole week off and read up on that school work from bed or out with the chickens!!! If your DIY piercing is infected... might want to take that out till your strep infection is gone... probably doesn't help your immune system to have too much going on at once.

Make a sea salt paste for your DIY piercing. Apply liberally and let it sit on it.

Are you soaking it twice a day?

Soaking your piercing for several minutes daily speeds healing and makes you much more comfortable. Ratio of Sea Salt in Water: 1/4 Teaspoon Sea Salt mixed well in 1 Cup Water. Increase or decrease ratio as needed.

Also wash it twice daily using using a mild, PH–balanced soap, preferably one without moisturizers or chemicals. Glycerin, Oatmeal (like Crazy Chameleon Bar Soap, with Lavender, Teatree, and Oatmeal), and Castile based (like Liquid Soap with Lavender and Teatree) soaps do very well.

Well, you complained about it

so I figured I would try to help out at least on the one thing I know about.

Get lots of rest, have your parent's call your school to have your teachers collect up all the work you will be missing. That is what I do when my kid's are sick. Hope you feel better!​

I have asthma too and that wipes me out...
Strep's a bummer too...hard to get rid of without a bunch of antibiotics.

Just about everyone I work with has some sort of nasty flu bug, several schools in the area have closed because of it.
Hope you just have the asthma and don't get anything like this stuff!
For piercings, there is a great stuff calle H2 Ocean. It's a saline, seal salt spray that is cool, soothing and keeps it clean. What is a DIY piercing anyway?
