I live in lake county Florida little north of central Florida. I’m looking at this 6x12 coop but with a pop out roof. Lots of people in this area go with a hardware cloth flooring in the coop with bedding on top. What are your thoughts?

it wont need bedding in the bottom, maybe add some perches as necessary for easy hop-ups to roost .. with hardware cloth on the floor its alot safer, but youll need good access to spray it out almost daily .. what id probably do is then line underneath on the ground with square pavers and locate the coop 'in full shade' and where that will then wash down away from the house etc ..over time thats alot of poop .. it WILL build up lol .. easy clean and wash away is a must imo .. daily chore ..

Is that the only ventilation that coop has is the bottom?

It has a window on the opposite side of the nesting box and ventilation on the wall of the coop going into the run

I would think you would need more than that in such a warm climate. Maybe others that live in similar climates will chime in shortly.
