Hi everyone, my name is Darienne and I'm currently studying sustainable agriculture in a rural college here in Vermont. One of my many omnivorous personal and business interests includes poultry of every kind. I used to be terrified of chickens when I was younger after an incident with a mean rooster, and somehow came to love feathered type animals when I entered college. Suppose I never realized how affectionate a chicken could be!
I'm really interested in conserving heritage breeds and achieving independence from Midwest grain companies, so I've been doing research on growing small grains and may do my senior project on it within this year and the next.
I hope to be a wallflower and active participant in these forums.
