Very aggressive rooster

Pics
I had a very aggressive silkie EE roo and was always fighting him. One day I was ready to put him down, and he laid an egg. It was a hen, I was so happy it laid an egg I picked her up and hugged her, and she became a diff hen ever since, I used her as an example of how to treat roosters ever since any time I get stalked, or jumped by a rooster, I pick him up and cuddle him. Then they only come to me if they want to be cuddled. If they do not they stay away. most want to be cuddled. This is what I do not do... use rakes, or shove them off with my foot. Then they think you are afraid. And they think they win.

Welcome chloiflower! I'm impressed with your ability to act, and I think it was the responsible thing to do.
Some roosters are just nice, and some aren't. Some of the bad boys can be 'reformed', and some can't, and most of them will challenge every human they meet.
After starting out with some real jerks, I've learned, and no longer think it's worth it to 'reform' a bad bird. Roosters stay here as part of the flock, and to reproduce, and only polite birds need to have offspring!
