Please can anyone provide advise on what to do with 'Snow' my sussex hybrid, as she is definitely ill. Her symptoms include: being very bloated, not being able to walk (sitting/lying in one place unless moved), panting. She is still eating and drinking (and looking very indignant as usual), and is currently camped out on the grass by a water feeder and has been for most of today(she has had food brought to her). Does anyone know what to do to help Snow?? I can provide pictures if anyone thinks this will help. Thank you.

Pics please.
When is the last time she laid an egg?

Can't be exact, but around 6-7 years. (or older)

I'm unsure when she last laid an egg as we have just got back from holiday to be told about this by the neighbour that was looking after them. To give an idea apparently she was getting 1 or 2 eggs a day from our 4 chickens (this is not unusual for them). Pictures arriving shortly.

More information:
She has got a messy bum that we plan on cleaning up soon to see if we can see a problem. Also she appears to be heavier than usual (although again this is only an estimate).

I think that this has been going on for too long for it to be an issue with her respiratory system, as she as been like this for hours. I think its something wrong with her digestion or ability to lay eggs.
