Bahahaha!...Both or all poultry. Gosh don't flush.
Maybe if the cedar is aged? I don't know, but I saw a coop made with cedar. Also read on here that for housing it is ok. Though I am not sure why it would be ok for housing, but not ok for shavings. Are ducks ok with cedar houses?

Thanks for clarifying!Depends on the cedar.
Not all cedar is of the aromatic type.
It's the aromatic cedar shavings that are a respiratory irritant and best avoided.
Cedar lumber should be fine for building housing, especially if there is good ventilation.
How many total birds are you wanting to have in the coop in your picture? In my experience, ducks hate those prefab coops. They are made more for chickens and their ramps are way too steep.
But me being a new duck Mom last year didn’t know so of course I bought one. It’s waaaay to small for the 6 ducks I have. I cut the bottom off so now it sits on blocks. They will go in it now if I make them.
So I would venture to guess you are in the same boat. The coop is too high for the ducks but perfect for chickens. I would look at other options for duck housing.![]()
