Very disappointed

I'm so sorry things don't look like they are turning out as you expected. Has anything happened? Did you open any eggs?

I pulled the plug last night. I opened eggs and found chicks. They didn't appear to be fully ready to hatch. I now have a Hova Genesis loaded up and running. Hope this time I'll have better luck. This Hova seems to be a ton better than LG.

Glad to see that you're back with the program. I'm absolutley sure that you will have a better outcome this time. Getting a high percentage hatch from a still air LG is possible, but very difficult to do. The irony in all of this is the fact that the still air LG's are probably the most affordable styrobator out there, and it's usually the first choice of inexperienced, first attempt hatchers. In addition to being the least costly bator, they are also the fussiest, most difficult to operate and maintain. There are just way too many things that can go wrong.

Good hatches are possible with the LG's, but it takes practice, and time to figure out all the little subtle nuances, fine tuning, and "tricks" that are necessary to get a good hatch. By the time that the average person gets a handle on it, there have often been dozens of hatchable eggs thrown into the trash.

Hope you have many great hatches in the future.
