Have had my crew for about 9 months now. Went out to a very quiet coop this morning to find the biggest rooster we have gone!!!!! There were some feathers around, but not a lot more than the normal mess they leave. No body, No blood, no signs of anything!?!?! My coop is about 4 feet off the ground. What would climb in and take the biggest rooster in the coop?!?!?!?!

i agree with break an egg.no blood would more than likely mean no predator, unless you have a huge snake

Since there are no real clues other than a lack of clues, a fox, bobcat, or coyote top my list. Possibly an owl if it happened at night. A dog is a possibility, especially a feral dog. If they are not securely locked up, many things can take them. Many predators leave clues ar would eat on them at the spot, but many would carry them away to a safe place to eat them or maybe take them back to their young. You can never discount a human when there are no clues.
