I got my Ideal order this morning of 9 adorable feather legs! Still trying to figure out what breeds they are, Ideal didn't right that on the invoice this time

. These sweet babies have such fluffy butts, I'm finding I keep having to wipe them because every time they poo it gets stuck. They're little vents are so teeny the poo doesn't make it to the brooder floor. What can I do to prevent this? I don't want to end up with pastey chicks.

Thanks, Sonja

Also make sure their water is not cold. I've read that using cold water can contribute to pasting. I usually run the water until it's lukewarm - not hot - before filling the baby chick's waterer up
