Hi there! I'm very excited to be here. I've always found having birds of all sorts to be really fulfilling, ever since I was a kid and my parents jumped into buying a whole assortment of different things. I haven't had chickens since then, and we only ever had two, but I am very much hoping to get the chance to have them again soon! My city is currently looking into changing the bylaws so we'll see how that goes, (fingers crossed!).
For the time being I'm starting to keep doves again, also a carryover from when I was a kid. We had quite a lot of them back then in an outdoor aviary, but this time I'm starting with just two indoors. I am currently looking into getting more, but I'm not sure if I'm rushing the process... We'll see how it goes!
I've been lurking BYC for a while, reading up on a lot of posts in the pigeons and doves section. That's probably where you'll be able to find me from now on too! That, or any sections about building/buying aviaries and coops. I've never built anything of my own, especially not such a dauntingly large project, but I've been toying with the idea lately. This is also the first forum website that I've been on, so I'm not that comfortable or familiar with how it works. Please let me know if I do anything wrong!
Thanks for having me! I hope you all had a great Easter.
