Very new newbie

Hi to all,
After years of moaning, my hubby has built me a fab coop and run and two 20week old rhode rocks. Had them 4 days and they have laid each day. They also escaped once but not for long! We live in a village in south west England with our two dogs, a westie and a Scottie. They are not sure what to make of the chucks yet so keeping a close eye on them. It's great to be able to talk to other chicken lovers and I have learned a great deal already from the forum. Looking forward to learning a whole lot more!!!

Glad to have you here!! There are many people whose dogs get along well with their chickens, but you're doing the right thing for now.

Hi and thank you for your welcome.
Today's trial is a brown rat already!!! It came skipping up to the coop around 4pm yesterday but my Scottie saw it off. He managed to dig into the run last night though regardless of the sensor light. We are tooled up and ready for action today.
