Rescued Australorp hen. I have no idea of age - maybe 1 - 2 years old. All behavior is normal. I have her on grower pellet as she was fed only wheat and corn for years and came to me underweight. She finished a course of SafeGuard for worms in her poop. All good now!
Bathed her a bit today to check her over. Here's what I need help treating: red skin o her throat and red skin on her vent (red spot on "edge" of vent). It doesn't look prolapsed. I'm thinking pecking. These are wounds she arrived with, so the environment has improved greatly, but both look painful.
Any advice for treatment to help her heal?
(Bad pics bc I was trying to bathe her and not drop my phone in the tub!)
