Or if you know how to, yes, you could.
But how could she walk?

I know one leg ducks have been seen even in the wild. I think it may be her only chance. I have to decide whether to try or to put her down, though.
about the bumble foot i would now apply some blue coat seeing that its open & a lot of a drawing salve and vet wrap it and leave it for a few days to see if the kernel is starting coming out , you can check it every day if your worried, but it should be ok , wait to see if the kernel is starting to come out , it should do that , it does in chickens but they are not in water all the time, so im not sure about that , but if it was not already been cut open i would think the water & mud could also have helped to draw it out ..? o and along with this process, i would also give 1 &/12 dropers full of a good quality colloidal silver, 1 time a day ,BUT about the top since its bulging, thats actually very good..! my hens had that same thing & i barely made a tiny pin prick on the top to see if any thing would just come out , but it was to early for that to happen , these things have to ripen so timing is the important part and letting the body begin to reject it with our help, it was clearly not ready to pop after applying a bit of pressure ,i knew its just a waiting game this process & just keeping it clean & free of germs is the thing that needs done and keep the drawing salve on and every thing clean as you wait for the body to fight back and reject it.! the whole thing will actually pop out with a bit of pressure when its ready, so no need for any cutting its just about time this might take a week or so but in the end the entire kernel comes out from the bottom out the top . i had posted this info with pictures a wile ago , go look at that . its pretty interesting how this whole process works.!So to make a long story short we took in some ducks from a bad situation. One of them cannot walk and it's bad bad bumblefoot. She has a sore on her opposite hock as well. She sort of flap-hops around. It's really sad. Still swims well. They had no water at all so it's no shock they have bumbles.
Anyway. I cut into it. Can't get a lot out, I've done bumble foot surgery before on chickens with a lot more luck. Should I try to go in via the top? The top is bulging massively however I don't want to maul her foot apart.
Right now she's getting pack bandages, tonight a honey bandage along with the packed gauze, alcohol to clean it, epsom salt soaks. Also penicillin.
I haven't messed with the hock at all, because A) It's a joint and I hope the penicillin might do it for me and B) she needs to have one leg that isn't cut open poor thing.
Thoughts are appreciated.
Also, how often should I expect eggs from these things? I got a few this morning from them.
