happy girl in her bath.

Well, I sure got hissed at this morning. Peggy was always a shy duck, from the moment I got her, she would be the one hiding behind her sisters. When she got sick, I could pick her up no problem. I'm taking it as a good sign that she is getting angry at me, hissing and biting when I open the cage or take her out. She is fighting.

Well, Peggy was outside for over 3 weeks. She was eating happily and able to walk, nothing like when I brought her in the house. You could tell though, that she just wasn't herself. One day she looked terrible, sunken eyes and all fluffed up. The next morning she seemed ok. Then a couple of days later, I went down to put them to bed and she had died sometime in the day. I only wish I knew why she got sick to prevent it from happening again (if indeed it was something that even was preventable). I miss you my sweet girl. :hit

I'm so sad for your loss! I know how it feels to loose loving animals. I'm on a bad run of it. :hugs
