It was! Looking for some pictures from another hen a few years ago...Haha nasty!
I think it weighed about 1.1 pounds (500 grams).Wow. Glad I can't smell it. That is quite the mass.
It is, especially considering how small she was. That is enormous percentage-wise inside an itty-bitty hen.

Chicken organs
I added the website it came from.
It looks like that messed up organ above the egg is the liver. The photo where you have cut it open shows how very unhealthy the tissue is. The yellow areas are fat. Fatty liver is very bad.
This is my soap box...it is not meant to offend anyone: fatty liver is associated with GMO corn and or glycosphate, both of which non-organic feed is full of. And add in liver cancer, which I am not able to identify, though the liver tissue is clearly abnormal.
Thanks for your post and picture. I can assure that the organ was *not* her liver and that her liver looked fine, almost good enough to eat. I have seen fatty liver before, and this was *not* fatty liver. I didn't bother taken any pictures of the other organs because they looked fine. Additionally, the mass was connected to the cloaca.![]()
