very small eggs

Vicki The eggs our Buff Orpingtons were laying the first week or so were very small,as were the ones from our Australorps. Some were not much bigger than a quarter . Now our Silver laced Wyandottes....their first eggs were BIGG. After a few weeks now we're starting to get nice sized eggs from all the girls.

those production reds are going to lay some huge eggs. I cringe every time I pick one up and think bless your heart (they will always have a forever home even after they stop laying) as all of them will. One of my EE chickens lays the largest of the 4, unfortunately unlesss i seperate them I won't know who it is.

I beleive you are only as old as you feel. I commend you for having kept you other critters as they age. Many people don't do it for the long haul. I had a calico cat name Gizemo that was almost 18 til one morning she couldn't even stand up and I had had her since I was 16. that was a heart breaker for me at least.
