I have 11 mallard and 2 pekin ducklings, they will be three weeks old Sunday. One of the mallard ducklings is about a third the size of the other mallards. She eats well and drinks and is active. I put some vitamins and electrolytes in the water for all of them. I got them from Metzers, so im sure the others arent roeuns and she the only mallard. Any thoughts?

My little Elf was the peanut of peanuts - so, tiny!

And two weeks behind everyone else. You know that at the rate ducklings grow, that was a big difference!

I kept up with her, making sure she ate, drank, pooped, and got a few cuddles till she outgrew wanting them. She also got vitamins a few more times than the rest, and because she was slow I would sometimes separate her for treats because the others scarfed them up before she even realized there were treats in the brooder.

After about 9 months, she caught up with the rest. She's a great duck!

Oh. They are Runners.
