okay.. if anything it seems like she is struggling even more now than before she laid the 1st egg.. I'll fill up the bathtub with warm water for her.

She is really struggling.. There is a vet near me and I could afford a visit but I don't think there's any way I could afford an X-Ray.. The only vet near me that sees poultry is the same one that I took a duck to about a year ago and when I took her in there they offered an X-Ray, I don't remember exactly how much but I believe it was around 4-500 dollars.
It is usually about 120 for me to get an x-ray with 2 views. About 45 more for them to send it to a radiologist.

Alright I will try and find out, I might be remembering incorrectly but it was definitely over 200. If I can find somewhere to do it for around 120 that would be fine.

Poor little baby... I'm gonna just sit here in the bathroom with her for an hour or so and hopefully she can get it out

She is letting out some peeps every once and awhile while trying to get it out... I can tell this one is very painful for her.. :(

Usually they want multiple views to give the best visual clues as to what is going on, but you can ask for less views. Sometimes vets insist on using anesthesia during radiographs, that will make it a lot more expensive, too. But it isn't that hard for them to briefly hold your pet still, only some pets actually need anesthesia for radiographs. Especially since it is mostly digital now.

Even if you can't afford x-rays they could tell you what direction to go in. Just the exam, some advice, like perhaps they'll recommend you give calcium for 30 days like with my ducks, won't be too expensive. Maybe they'll give you metacam for inflammation and pain. Likely they'll want to do blood work. And perhaps even viral testing. It isn't cheap. But you don't have to do that stuff.

Okay thank you if I remember correctly their just general exam price was 80 or 90 dollars so I can do that, I'll call and set it up.

Okay I scheduled a visit, the soonest they had is Monday at 3:15 so hopefully her problems don't get worse in the meantime

I would take in a soft shelled egg, and also show them a video of her straining. Maybe create a paper calendar and write on it which days she laid eggs and if they were soft or hard, and give that to them, too.
