Very Strange Deformity (Graphic Photo)

Sadly, despite all of the good thoughts, the chick did not make it. It was worth a try and no harm was done. She seemed bright eyed and comfortable to the end. No struggles or distressed chirps. She was a blue partridge Silkie for those of you who are wondering. I have the parents. They are my own birds so I can try setting eggs again.

I just found this thread. I am so sorry you lost your little one, but love that you tried so hard to give her a chance. I know that there are times when you have no choice but to put them out of their misery, but it seems so many people don't even try to give them a chance first. Best of luck next time you hatch!!
