Very sudden death

It feels like cocci to me too. Even though all the others look perfectly healthy this morning, I'm going to medicate the water just in case.

I just had chicks show up with cocci in a kennel in the house.

I had chicks in a kennel waiting to be moved out to the coop. We had modifications that required completetion first. I noticed they looked a bit tired on the weekend and their energy level was down slightly. But they still looked and acted normal. I saw two separate poops on Tuesday with a very small amount of blood. It's a good thing I had them on paper. I started the max dose of Amprol (.024%) immediately.

I wear fresh vinyl gloves and do the chick chores separate from the outdoor chickens. But I did use the LF scoop a couple of times to bring starter to the house because it was convenient. I had the chicks on plain starter and had just changed to medicated because they were going out...when Cocci showed up.

That's my most recent run in with Coccidiosis in case this helps.
I'll admit, I'm a little surprised.
