Very thin shell... Could it be a first egg?

I think I may have had my first egg from my 2 pullets but I am not sure, as the nest box is shared by 2 adult hens and there were 2 eggs this morning. The reason I think I might be a first egg is the shell was paper thin and cracked with a small touch. Are thin shells a regular phenomenon with first eggs?

It is possible that it was a pullet's first egg. Sometimes, a new pullet's egg laying tract won't be quite ready or used to the whole egg laying process.

Another possibility is that it was one of your older hens. Old hens (3 years old or so) can be prone to laying odd eggs as well, because they've been laying a long time and their reproductive tracts aren't working like they used to.

Not enough calcium can cause thin shells as well. Are they getting layer feed or being provided with an extra calcium source, such as crushed oyster shell or egg shell?

we had one of those the other day from one of our new layers- it was thin shelled, and barely color. It had a spot that almost had no shell at all on it- this can happen with new layers when the egg passes through the oviduct too fast and doesn't stay inside the shell gland for enough time. Unless it's a recurrent thing, I wouldn't worry about it. Here's what ours looked like:
