So I have 23 babies and out of the 23 one baby has not grown at all...they are 1.5 weeks old and all bit one have feathers and are larger...by larger I mean three times the size of this little guy...the little one has all yellow feathers...pasty butt at times....eats and drinks water..loves egg yolk ! Any suggestions guys?? I'd hate to lose this little one

Occasionally a chick hatches in this condition. Most people choose to cull the weaker ones. You can add probiotics to the water and a tiny bit of vitamins in hopes it boosts his immune system. If you have another really small chick, you can separate them out and put them in another brooder with a few degrees higher heat. Sometimes these little ones need more heat to grow.

Many times these little guys grow up to be just as large and productive as the others, sometimes not. Good luck with him!

I have one guy like that... it hatched 12 hours after the other quail hatched, and was much smaller. My quail are 27 days old, and although he hasn't fully caught up sizewise, he has put on some weight and had me worried (as he is my sons "pet" that has been spared from the freezer).
