Very unusual chick, Guinea / chicken hybrid!!

Nice pics, intrigued by the Lapwing chick, how did you acquire it and do you still have it? they are beautiful birds but I'd imagine tricky to care for?

I still just want to kiss his little beaky....
Mine have started their BIG GUY CALLS AND NOW I CANT' IGNORE THEM. Not that I"d want to but they definitely know how to get their mama's attention.Their new favorite thing is galloping back and forth across my porch roof (which is fiberglass) driving my poor dog insane. It sounds like a thunderstorm when you stand under them. But I still love them. They aren't babies anymore. I still refer to them as "the babies" but "the babies" are bigger than my banties, most ofthem.Well, happy thanksgiving to everyone I am signing off for the day....

Awesome birds! Shame the other didn't survive it looked like it got more guinea characteristics, would have been interesting to see!

I have a breeding pair on licence, this was one egg I incubated from that pair. Surprisingly they do very well on a chick crumble diet and insects.
