Very weak duckling! Help!

Video of it isn't needed. Just explain..

It just lays on its side and frantically kicks its feet. It also moves its beak like its eating. Has a tendency to do it when I make noise or its sibling chirp.

@WVduckchick may have some extra advise she does a lot of hatching. When my ducklings were hatching and I brought them inside, I did help one but after that first night it was up walking eating and drinking.

Currently 18 hours old. Other duckling started walking 2 hours after hatching but this guy hasn’t even started walking and just looks a lot worse.

That's nothing if it's a weak baby. Do what you want but trusting me will possibly save it.

Assisted hatching went pretty well, there was very little blood and after I helped a little the duckling made its way out.

Hey there, i did a write up awhile ago of a weak duckling that hatched late and was on the fast track to death. using everything i learned here on BYC and a little experience i managed to save it
