Very weak, very sudden, please help...

Beleive it or not your post did make me feel a little better. I was worried that I was not doing something right. I didnt want to miss something obvious then regret it later. I think you are prob right, it doesnt look too good. She doesnt even have a name yet:( BTW I love your sig line!

Thanks, CC. I don't think I would separate her, it would be added stress. If she does depart, I hope not, but don't think she was sat on. My 2 chicks were found deceased and were like laying flat. I hope I'm not being to graphic, but I feel it needs to be addressed. You are not alone, happens to most chicken owners. The only way to avoid it is to not have any chickens at all. Karen

Thanks to everyone for your advice and support. She has passed away.

I am sorry.

Chicks often pass away within the few weeks of hatching. It is considered normal to have a loss. There is often no explanation for what caused it.

Sorry you lost your chick. I lost 4 out of 17 in my first batch (picked them up at the hatchery) they just didn't thrive like the others. I think they sometimes just don't make it. There are probably many reasons. You did all you could.
