Hi everyone,
I have one little keet that I got at about 4 days old (together with 2 others) that is very wobbly on it's legs and keeps falling over. I thought it would disappear with age (now 9 days old) but is still just as bad. When holding it, it is very shaky, like a constant internal tremor. The legs are straight, so that does not seem to be the problem. He will often lie down with the legs spread out to the sides, sometimes he seems unable to get up when I come in. Sometimes he falls on his back. He can walk and run around but his legs do not seem strong enough to carry his weight for long. What could be the problem? Is it sick or something genetic or a birth defect?
Any help appreciated. Will try to post pictures later if possible.

Sounds like it may be weak and may not be able to get to food and water as much as he should. Give it some Poly-Vi-Sol (liquid baby vitamin/supplements made by Enfamil). A couple of drops on side of beak a couple of times a day. Also feed it high protein/vitamin food like scrambled egg. Make sure it is getting enough to eat. You may need to separate it for feeding time.
