Vicious attack....HELP!

I went to lock my 2 girls up tonight and founf a coop full of feathers. One chicken came running from the side yard and after much searching we found our 2nd. She was viciously attacked by something. All of her tail feathers are gone and her back side looks like it was being eaten! She was cobwred in ants. She has multiple puncture wounds and her left wing seems like it bothers her. This picture is the best I could do since I was in a panic and it was storming out. We cleaned her with rubbing alcohol, picked off all the ants we could see and put hibacleanse on all her wounds we could find. She just wanted to be held and seems in shock..dont blame her! What do I do now? Vet? Did I clean it with the right stuff? We have had them almost 3 uears and I do not want her to suffer! What should I do? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Also, i put her back in the coop with her sister because I have no place to keep her inside. Not the most ideal I know. I am just so nervous about ants getting back on her.

If you needed to, you could put her in one of those dog crates to keep her in the house. That way you would be able to keep an eye on the wound and to keep it cleaned out.

I took these first thing this morning. I gave her a warm antibacterial soap bath....she loved that. Flushed everything with hydrogen peroxide and the applied an antibacterial cream. She is now in a dog cage in the garage. I did get her to gobble down some blueberries...which I hope is a good sign. Any other suggestions????

Also the wound had no oozing or funny smell. It looked much dryer then last night. Good sign????

Yes, good sign. I wouldnt do anything else for her at this point. Chickens are incredibly good at healing, even from major wounds. Keep her isolated, keep her cage clean, and give her time. I'm betting she'll heal in a couple weeks, more or less.
