Yes it is the law! He also has to remained leashed as well. lol We bring a squirt bottle with us for when he accidentally goes on the concrete. It's so liquidy most of the time that a couple sprays washes it away. Otherwise were at the park and if he poops a little there, it doesn't matter as long as it's liquid. If it's solid, we squirt it until it soaks in the ground.
Victor is wearing a walking harness, which is like a diaper harness with no butt pouch for a diaper. The leash is stretchy and allows him to walk away from me without chocking himself, or pulling himself out of the harness. And yes I made it myself.
I don't want to break any rules here at BYC, so if anyone has particular questions about the walking harness, please feel free to pm me!
Thanks for the compliments, Victor appreciates it. He (lol, she) is a total ham and loves posing for the camera. When we first got Victor, he wasn't sexed, so I have no clue what he was. I thought victor was a good name and decided just to wait it out. Victor developed a rather squeaky quack (still has it). At that time I was really new to ducks and read that boys have squeakier voices. He also grew much bigger than Ming Mei, who was two weeks older than him. Victor also would climb on her back and bite her head, which I thought was a dominance or mating thing... So I thought I was correct in calling him Victor... Until one day when he was about 5 months old.... I was driving across country from Chicago to Alabama with the ducks in the back seat, and had them diapered. Victor was acting strange and sliding on his belly a little.... I stopped at a gas station to change them when I found a cute little green egg in his harness.... Then I knew for sure.... But by that time Victor already new his name and i couldn't call him Victoria (My roommate's law school mentor's name was Victoria and she came over often... I didn't want to often her!) So I kept the name figuring Victor wouldn't care... lol... I just never could get out of the habit of calling him a he. lol Victor still does the dominance thing to the other ducks and still squeaks.... He's also still one of the bigger ducks.... If it weren't for the tail feather, you'd think he was a he... a he who can lay eggs. lol....
