Video of me and my girl (Edited for song)

Thanks chickies. The snow was so fun to play in. I'm going to do an experiment just for you guys tomorrow (I feel terrible today). I am going to harness Angel, my barred rock, and see if she wants to ride with me! Since they love to be high up and with people, why not combine my two favorite things? Its gonna be wicked!

Your horse is a SWEETIE! Very cute. You obviously have a lot of fun together.

I don't know why anyone would want to pick it apart.

The only thing that I would pick on you for is your lack of a HELMET!! And that's a real safety concern, not trying to actually "pick" on you. I've ridden and competed my entire life. As a rider and an instructor, I've experienced and seen things happen with horses that you obviously haven't--because if you had, you'd be wearing a well-fitting, approved helmet. Really. PLEASE wear one.

I swear I'm not trying to be a joy-kill here!!

But a helmet really can mean the difference between a headache or your life in the event of a bad fall.

I know about the helmet. I usually don't wear one because no matter how tight it is, it gets down over my eyes. That almost caused a fall of me and my horse once, so I decided just to be careful without one.

Then get one that fits, girl!

One that fits correctly won't do that. You just have to try on a bunch 'till you find one that fits your particular head. I have a GPA and I love love love it, but they don't work for everyone and they're expensive (I spent $400 for mine several years ago, I have no idea how much they are now). I recommend it if it works for you, but there are plenty of good helmets out there. The Troxel schooling helmets have great ratings and they are some of the cheapest out there!

No matter how careful you are, accidents can still happen. That's why they're called accidents...

OK, sorry, now I'm nagging. But I think it's a good reason to nag someone!!

You do have a good reason to nag. $400 is a bit much for us, but next time we sell a cow or something (that sounded so redneck) I'll ask about getting one. I was a bit scared after I had a pretty bad fall that included four perfect flips in the air.
